At I Am Necessary, we believe in more than just words — we believe in action. Through our Necessary Service efforts, we meet real needs in our community with compassion and purpose.

One of our key outreach projects is Yes M.A.A.M. (Menstrual Abstinence And Misunderstanding), which began after First Lady Twylia’s granddaughters shared how often young girls at school asked for pads or tampons. After learning how common this need was, I Am Necessary stepped in.

Now, we collect and distribute menstrual products year-round to girls and women in need. We also provide education on hygiene, abstinence, and self-worth —

creating safe spaces for honest conversations and empowerment.
